Ticketing Terms and Conditions
1. Tickets may not be resold at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Gold Coast Motor Events Co. (the “Promoter”). If this ticket has been resold or used in contravention of the condition, the bearer of the ticket may be denied admission or may be asked to leave the venue.
2. You agree to comply with all notices at the venue and all directions from the Promoter. You may be removed from the venue if you do not comply with any direction from the Promoter or its representatives.
3. Tickets are not refundable or subject to exchange unless required by law. If the event is cancelled after it has started (for example, because of bad weather), you cannot exchange your ticket and you cannot obtain a refund. If the description of, or participants in, the event change, you cannot exchange your ticket and you cannot obtain a refund.
4. PARTICIPATION IN THIS RACING EVENT AS A SPECTATOR IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. The ticket holder expressly ASSUMES ALL RISK incidental to the event, whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual conduct of the event, and HEREBY RELEASES the Promoter, the State Government of Queensland, all event participants, sanctioning bodies, Indy Racing League, LLC ("IRL"),V8 Supercars Australia Pty Limited (“V8SA”), CAMS Limited, V8 Supercar Television Pty Limited (“V8SCTV”) and all directors, officers, members, shareholders, owners, affiliates, employees and agents of each of the foregoing from any and all claims arising from the event, including claims of negligence of releasees. The ticket holder grants the Promoter, IRL and V8SA and their designees the right to use the holder's image and/or likeness in any live or recorded video display or other transmission or reproduction of the event, including without limitation his/her rights of publicity. All rights to broadcast, record, photograph, repeat, reproduce or recreate the event are reserved by the Promoter, IRL, V8SCTV and V8SA. The ticket holder agrees not to take any action, or cause others to take any action, which would infringe on the rights of the Promoter, IRL, V8SCTV and V8SA or their designees. The holder of this ticket is not entitled to a refund, replacement ticket or to payment for any damages of any kind for any reason from the Promoter, IRL or V8SA, including without limitation cancellation, shortening or other alteration of the event. Use of this ticket constitutes acceptance of all ticket terms.
5. Motorsport is dangerous. You understand that the layout of the venue may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety, the safety of any children accompanying you and for the safety and security of any property that you bring to the venue. You agree to compensate the Promoter for any damage, loss, liability or injury the Promoter may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at the event.
6. The Promoter may refuse you entry into, or remove you from, the venue if you do not obey these terms and conditions, you interfere with the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other persons at the event, you have a lost, stolen, counterfeit, damaged or unreadable ticket or you have acquired your ticket from an unauthorised source, or the Promoter reasonably suspect you of any of the above.
7. Images and sound recordings of the event taken by you with camera, video or audio equipment cannot be used for any purpose other than for private and domestic purposes, that is, you cannot sell, license, broadcast, publish or otherwise commercially exploit them. In particular you may not make available any moving footage, sound recordings or series of still pictures taken at the event on the internet.
8. These ticket conditions may be supplemented by additional conditions displayed at the venue.
9. No alcohol or no glass containers may be brought into the event precinct.
