Resident Information

The Accreditation Centre is located at the Southport Bowls Club, Marine Parade Southport (just south from Australia Fair Shopping Centre). The centre will be open from Monday 13th October to Wednesday 22th October between the hours of 9.00am and 6.00pm. During the event all accreditation and transit passes will be issued from the Will Call Office, which is situated at Main Gate South, opposite The Chateau, The Esplanade Surfers Paradise.

Resident and Non Resident Accreditaion
From 12:01am on Thursday 23 October till 9:00pm Sunday 26 October 2008 the Nikon Indy 300 precinct will be secured and entry will only be via accreditation or a valid ticket to the event.
Accreditation is issued to each resident owner, spouse and dependant child who will be occupying the unit during this period. Accreditation will be in the form of a ticket and this must be carried with you at times when you will be leaving the precinct, as it will need to be shown upon re-entry.

Accreditation passes are offered in good faith and under no circumstances, can be offered for sale, transferred or included in any holiday let package.

VEHICLE ACCESS

From 12.01am Thursday 23 October to 9.00pm Sunday 26 October 2008, vehicle access into and out of the circuit will be permitted between the hours of 7.00pm and 6.30am only. See attached map for designated entry and exit points. Note that each occupant in the vehicle must have valid event accreditation.

There are four vehicle entrance/exit gates around the Precinct:

• Pacific Street, Main Beach (Gate 41) Entry Only
• Staghorn Avenue, Surfers Paradise (Gate 7) Entry/Exit
• The Esplanade (near View Ave) (Gate 15) Entry/Exit
• Tedder Avenue, Main Beach (Gate 51) Exit Only

Please note that all cars must be removed from roadways within declared area by 6.30am so that the track can be fully closed and secured for racing activities by 7.00am – failure to do so will result in the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense.

CAR PARKING (RESIDENTS WITHOUT 24 HOUR ACCESS)

Car parking is provided for residents who do not have 24 hour access to their buildings. These passes must be applied for when applying for accreditation. The parking will be at Bruce Bishop Car Park on Beach Road, Surfers Paradise. If parking in Bruce Bishop Car Park the On Track resident pass must be on display and residents must park on levels 1 through 4 or normal charges will apply.

RESIDENT SHUTTLE BUS

From 7.00pm Wednesday 22 October until 8.00am Monday 27 October, a courtesy resident shuttle service will operate between the precinct and the Bruce Bishop Car Park on Beach Road, Surfers Paradise.
7am – 7pm Two 21 seater mini buses will shuttle back and forth from the Bruce Bishop Car Park on the outside of the circuit. The shuttle will pick up and drop off residents at any of the precinct ticket gates and outside the Marriott Hotel. Please hail the driver.
7pm – 7am One 21 seater mini bus will make regular pickups from the Bruce Bishop Car Park, circulating the track (inside the precinct) for drop off and pick up of residents. If you require the shuttle after race hours, you can hail it from any of the open precinct gates; however we suggest that you telephone the driver first.

CAR PARKING (RESIDENTS WITH 24 HOUR ACCESS)

The following buildings will have 24 hour access to their car parks, an official Nikon Indy 300 sticker must be on display in order to gain access to the gate and all occupants of the car must have appropriate ticket or accreditation. These passes must be applied for when applying for accreditation. The affected buildings are Crown Towers, Mantra Sun City, Golden Gate, Melaleuca, Axis, Inlet, Bouganvillea.

BOAT MOORINGS

Residents with a permanent mooring inside the declared area will need to display an official Nikon Indy 300 Boat Access Pass. When entering the precinct, each occupant in the boat will be required to show valid event accreditation or access will be denied.


BUDDS BEACH - MAIN BEACH - PARADISE WATERS RESIDENT

Please note that traffic restrictions will not commence until 6.00am Thursday 23 October, 2008.
You will be issued with a specific Budds Beach, Main Beach or Paradise Waters resident vehicle pass. Displaying the pass will permit residents to on-street parking and to access restricted traffic zones within their area of residence. Failure to display the pass will result in a fine and the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense. The pass must be fixed to the inside of the driver’s front windscreen from 6.00am Thursday 23 October until 6.00am Monday 27 October. Resident vehicle passes will be delivered on the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October 2008.

TRANSIT PASSES

Transit passes will be issued to any approved individuals or organisations that require vehicle access to Budds Beach, Main Beach or Paradise Waters. These passes are designed to give 24 hour access. The passes also ensure that the streets within the defined zones are not congested with spectator traffic. Transit passes will allow on-street parking for up to 2 hours in certain areas.

Transit passes must be on display on the driver’s side of the dashboard from 6.00am Thursday 23 October until 6.00am Monday 27 October, 2008. Transit passes are available from the Accreditation Centre.
